Take Action for New Hampshire Families: Share Your Story

A Voluntary Acknowledgment of Parentage (VAP) is a simple administrative form that can be signed in the hospital when a child is born – ensuring the child is legally connected to both parents from birth. VAPs can also be signed later in the child’s life to secure the family.

While different-sex parents have been able to sign VAPs to establish parentage for decades, this important and affordable path to legal parentage is out of reach for LGBTQ+ families in New Hampshire.

We need your help passing SB422 to protect LGBTQ+ families in New Hampshire!

If you are an LGBTQ+ parent or are planning for a child, let the legislature know how being able to sign a VAP will protect your family.
