Melat (she/her) graduated from Yale University in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. Prior to joining GLAD Law, she interned at The Southern Center for Human Rights, Bronx Defenders, the New Haven Office of the Federal Public Defender, and Solitary Watch. Melat is passionate about civil rights and is eager to assist GLAD Law in building a multiracial democracy where all communities have the opportunity to thrive. In her free time, she enjoys reading fantasy novels, working out, and trying cuisine from around the world.
